I think their cover said it all. “You are forgiven”. Isn’t this the truest measure of humanity? Their lives were not meaningless if we can all learn from this. And I emphasize ALL. We all need to step back, offer understanding, compassion and start the healing. As an American it grieves me to think we are so hated throughout the world. We need a Martin Luther King, a Ghandi,a Mandela, a Bobby Kennedy. The pope had much to say on this subject and I think we should try to listen to his message. I am not a religious person, but I admire his efforts. It starts with not throwing stones, silencing words of hate, and learning to forgive. I urge everyone to go see Selma, the actor who plays MLK is wonderful. It is an inspiring film who’s message holds true today.
