I Had A Feeling

May 30, 2019

And, I was right. Memorial Day weekend has passed and I’m still waiting for some seasonal weather. Until Summer weather comes this simplequietmodern project will protect against this unseasonal chill…Purl Soho’s Elementary Wrap. Knit up in their Linen Quill…a blend of wool, baby alpaca and linen…  it was the perfect project to occupy those cold rainy nights and weekends over the last couple of months. And, if my prediction comes true, there’ll be the occasion to knock out another before Summers end. I hope I didn’t jinx it, but I see cool rainy days in our future.

While my selection was Kettle Black, this luxurious, transitional yarn is available in over 40 colors. Fair warning.

Well, we’ll see. While we’re experiencing record low temperatures for March its the perfect time to start the segue to Spring with a simplequietmodern project like the Elementary Wrap from Purl Soho, knit up in their Linen Quill…a transitional combination of wool, alpaca and linen. Get it on the sticks now and you’ll be ready to wrap yourself up just in time for that first Spring outing.

Shown in Kettle Black, Linen Quill is available in 30 additional colors. And, the pattern is free…https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2018/05/02/elementary-wrap-in-linen-quill/

Elementary

May 2, 2018

As its name implies, the Elementary Wrap from Purl Soho is just that…easily dealt with, straightforward, uncomplicated. Three skeins of Purl Soho’s Linen Quill, a blend of Highland  wool, alpaca and linen, a US #4 circular needle and the free pattern is all that’s needed to get you into a little Zen knitting. This time next week you’ll not only be totally chill, but you’ll have created a Mothers Day gift that’ll be hard to top.
