If big is good…

then bigger is better. From a quick spin around town to your next long weekend, these canvas totes from James Perse will have you bringing home the ingredients for tonight’s dinner to packing all you’ll need for a few days away. Made in the USA of Italian heavy duty cotton/linen canvas, the small Tote measures 24″ w x 13″ h and the large tote comes in at 29″ w x 21″ h, both with an interior pocket and a 7-8″ shoulder strap drop. Of the dozen neutral shades available the Asphalt shown is my simplequietmodern selection that will work as well now as it will Fall, Winter or Spring. Makes me want to start packing for my next extended road trip.

OK , I thought I’d get this in early while everyone else was busy with Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Until I find the time to knit ’em up myself, I could love to receive either of these this Christmas. And, it goes without saying…but I’m saying it anyway…I’ve been very good.
It doesn’t get much more simplequietmodern than these charcoal cashmere sweatpants or this sweaterknit blazer, does it?

Finally…

it’s seeming like we might have a Summer…maybe a little different than usual, but Summer just the same. So, what’s inspiring me now?

A great place to fall out and relax on a hot summer day. Does it get any better than affordable teak? It’ll still take me a while to shake the chill from the last two seasons, so, a little Summer cashmere from James Perse is on my “gotta have some” list. http://www.jamesperse.com/men/collections/summer-cashmere/lightweight-cashmere-v-neck/viewProduct.do?productId=prod1790117&categoryId=cat1230006

Should it stay or should it go? Butterbur “volunteers” showing up in the aftermath of Winter’s brutal attack. I’ve promised some to friends, but I may leave a few to buffer the bare spots after the dead have been yanked and buried. photo: gp

After a cruise along the beach you might as well keep going and make a quick run to pick up a few things down the road at the farm stand for dinner. No need to crank up the Range Rover when you can extend the fun of riding around on a custom-built beach cruiser from James Perse. This modern interpretation of the original from the 50’s and 60’s will draw you in, but I’ll bet it’s the coasting brake that’ll hook ya. Two-wheeling it doesn’t get any more simplequietmodern than this.
