Better like this…

Yikes! There’s so much going on here you’re likely to have a seizure before you reach the coffeemaker.(Gotta love the green bananas in the center of the frame.)

Or , better like this? For me there is no question. The perfectly executed mid-century space is the one for me. Even back then someone knew to take down the uppers, keep the refrigerator and appliances out of view ( or minimize their visual impact), provide more than ample surface space and take full advantage of visually expanding the square footage by incorporating the outdoor view. The built in dining area is seamlessly integrated keeping the family “in the loop” while prepping for supper. I’ve got my soup pot and rolling pin…it feels like home to me.

Plywood,concrete…

April 18, 2012

where do I sign?  I L O V E this space. Maybe becuse it is not only simple, quiet and modern…but it is constructed of my all- time favorite materials; plywood and concrete. I could move in immediately…what else is there to say?http://www.narukuma.com/main.html

Until then maybe I could be happy with one of these concrete pendant lights. I already have the plywood floors.

Just the ticket

Nothing says Simple…Quiet…or Modern quite like this. The best (and my personal favorite) fabric…Linen…for it’s color, texture and durablity combined with the simplest of design. Who couldn’t use a stack of these in their linen drawer?  Even the identifying mark stamped on each item keeps it simple, insuring against someone wiping the corner of their mouth with the tablecloth. Hey, I’m just saying…http://shophorne.com/shop-designer-fog-linen-c-55_77.html?view_all=1&sort=2a
