Again, Plato knew.

to come up with a new spin on an icon of American design history…the log cabin. In my earliest recollections I have had on my wish list an”inspired” log cabin retreat…rustic yet with a modern turn. I never let my imagination run to this…simplequietmodern at it’s best. The fact that the “whole” has been broken into 2 living sections and that those are lined in one of my favorite materials, plywood, makes it even more perfect. It’s as if someone has been reading my mind.I can’t think of a better place to knock back some Champagne and take a deep relaxing breath.

A rough start…

May 8, 2012

for this stone colored cotton cap. I like the Graham pattern by Jennifer Adams so much I decided to cast one on for spring and summer.  Using this limestone colored Berocco Weekend, for its nuetrality and ease of care, I was hoping to have it completed in a couple of days. This being the 3rd cast on( can’t I count stitches or what?)…things seem to be back on track. Stay tuned for the finish.  https://simplequietmodern.wordpress.com/2012/04/11/smokey/

Move over Chuck…

May 6, 2012

you’ve been benched.  Spring is the time to review the condition of my classic optic white Chuck Taylor’s and set out to pick up a new pair or two to carry me through…ever a key component of my summer “uniform”. Always classic, always fun and always a good value is what I loved about my Chucks. But, sadly things have changed ( you may have noticed them as well) and it’s time for me to make some changes too. Stepping up as this season’s replacement are these classic Bass Oxfords, to pair up with literally every summer outfit for every summer situation. I’m guessing I’m going to need two pair, one to knock the crap out of and another as a tidier back up. http://needsupply.com/mens/shoes/brockton-in-ice.html
